John L. Hoffer
Attorney John L. Hoffer began his legal career in estate planning and tax planning in the business context. He then practiced real estate law full-time, which pushed him into commercial real estate and familiarized him with more IRS laws regarding taxes. He represented Alaska Native corporations under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act of 1971. Finally, he decided to pursue personal injury to continue learning the full context of the law and its applications to his clients.
At the Law Offices of Harold D. Carr, Mr. Hoffer utilizes his own insights and experience, as well as those of his colleagues to go above the call of duty to help their clients. He considers himself an educator who helps his clients make informed decisions about their case.
In his free time, Mr. Hoffer’s favorite activities tend to rotate from cooking to fishing, hiking, and sailing. He has backpacked the Grand Canyon nine times and counting. He also likes to work out with kettlebells a couple of times a week. Somehow, he has helped raise two fine boys, one who is a biotech research scientist and the other who is a biotech engineer.
He owns an obscene amount of tin- and silver-lined copper cookware that exceeds the value of his car, and his hero is Miles Davis because he’s the only jazz musician to be a central figure in the birth of four different jazz styles: Bebop, East Coast Hard Bop, Cool, and Fusion. Plus, he liked to box.

Extremely helpful and understanding. They fought hard for my case and I'd recommend them to anyone that needs a good lawyer. If I ever need a lawyer again, I know who to call.
